I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hardback. Nice jacket. Seems like premium binding. Hefty tome. Color illustrations. It woud be a great Christmas gift. Index and glossary is superb. Thick., nice pages . The original copy made much better. Print is relatively small.

My parents bought me this book about 1957 when I was nine. I loved it. I just gave a copy to my granddaughter who is 10 and she is devouring it.
